FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Next year’s race for California governor will be a big one.
There are plenty of high profile candidates like Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsome, State Treasurer John Chiang and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
On Friday we had the pleasure to meet one of the candidates for the first time, John Cox.
Cox is an accountant, businessman and lawyer living in San Diego, but his mother and brother live in Fresno, so he’s very familiar with the Central Valley.
John Cox says he’s running for governor “because this state is on it’s way to being the most unaffordable in the country.”
Cox also talked about unaffordable housing, high taxes, water storage, jobs, health care, and high-speed rail.
